Press Centre
The press centre at Popkomm 2008 (6-10 October) is located in the Palais am Funkturm. It will be open between 9 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. for the entire duration of the fair. Media representatives will find all the necessary services and equipment to assist their work available to them there.
This is where press conferences will be held. All press material will be issued there, including daily releases and press photos of events. Press pigeon-holes bringing you items of important information from the organisers and about exhibitors will ensure that no news is missed.
The trade press stand at Popkomm is located in the Hall 21
For the entire duration of the fair journalists working in the electronically equipped press office can use computer workplaces provided with fax machines, printers, notebook connections and internet access. Expert help will be on hand. Press photos can be sent by email or Leonardo.
Journalists holding a press pass or are in possession of a letter of authority by their editorial department will be able to obtain their accreditation online for Popkomm prior to the beginning of the fair. An application form and guidelines are available for download here. Accredited journalists may use the entrance to the exhibition grounds at Hammarskjöldplatz. Journalists who have not pre-registered are requested to use the entrance "Kleiner Stern" and obtain their accreditation there.
Press accreditation by Popkomm GmbH is valid for visits to the trade fair and congress. Journalists wishing to report on events in connection with the Popkomm Festival are requested to inquire with contacts at the official Popkomm clubs in question. From 8 to 10 October 2008 a shuttle bus will operate between the Main Hall at Berlin Tegel Airport and the entrance to Hall 19 of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
