The Popkomm Conference thematic main pillars 2008:

Explosive topics will be discussed and knowledge conveyed in the panels and workshops. Keynote speakers and interviews open the daily sessions. The day is rounded off by portrayals of creative figures from the world of music, entertainment and media.
In cooperation with the International Music Managers' Forum (IMMF) Popkomm is setting a main focus on music managers, they are at the centre of the new assignment of tasks within the music and entertainment business. |

With a new logo the Popkomm Conference gives an outlook into decisive developments within the business. Think Tank: on three days branch experts will be appraising and voicing their opinions on the current situation.
Creativity forwards! In panels on the subjects of film soundtracks, music in games, a debate about "music of the future" and in a new portrayal series with the conference spotlights on creative figures.
The topic of communication is about politics and the creative industries, the development of old and new media: we crown the branch’s most nonsensical word of the year.
In the area of commerce the viewpoint is directed to, amongst others, the allocation struggle in digital distribution: who earns on what and how much? Flat-rates or full track downloads? Who’s got their noses in front in the race for customer support?
