Start to work on Berlin's Radio Tower, the Funkturm

First Green Week; Opening of the Funkturm as Berlin's landmark

First International Aviation Exhibition

The garden under the Funkturm becomes closed

1935

A fire destroyed the Radio Hall -> rebuilding

1936

Construction of the Deutschlandhalle in only nine month

1939

All the halls were requisitioned for storage purposes

1945

Berlin and its exhibition grounds were destroyed

1946

Rebuilding of the exhibition ground

1947

First exhibition under the Radio Tower after the war

1948

"Green Week", "Building achievements" and "Christmas fair"

1950

First German Industrial Exhibition; Five trade fair events;
Rebuilding of the halls

1957

Congress Hall in Berlin/Tiergarten was built;
Rebuilding of the Deutschlandhalle

1961

25th anniversary of Grenn Week;
The German Radio, Television and Gramophone Exhibition came back after 22 years

1964

Foundations were laid for the International Tourism Exchange

1970

"Berliner Ausstellungen" and "Ausstellungsdienst Berlin" combined to form
"Ausstellungs-, Messe-, Kongress-GmbH" (AMK Berlin)

1971

Opening of the six new halls

1973

Start to build the ICC

1975

The Car Exhibition was named "aaa"

1979

ICC was opened

1981

The IFA returned to Berlin

1985

AMK Berlin the second time "Best convention center of the year"

1992

"Messe Berlin GmbH" for the first time also achieved postive operating results; The International Aerospace Exhibition retourned

1993

First Fruit Logistica

1996

First InnoTrans, since then every two years

1999

Construction had largely come to an end
