In Germany, every third employee travels for business at least once a year, stated in the 'VDR-Business Travel analyses 2008'.
Every hour, approximately 17,200 business trips begin in Germany.
The number of national and border-crossing business trips increased in 2007 to over 166,6 million and lead to total expenses of 48,7 billion EUR.
The average cost for business trips decreased by 7.4 percent to 137 EUR per day in 2007.
The results of the VDR-Business Travel analyses 2008 show that
companies saved more than one billion EUR due to effective Travel
Management. Constant training and exchange of knowledge are basic
requirements for successful Travel Management. This and more offer the
ITB Business Travel Days on five trade show days.
It is the perfect platform for everyone who books, manages or
negotiates business travel or events. Suppliers
of business travel services
meet those who are in charge of companies' travel budgets to interact
in workshops, round tables or at the ITB Business Travel Lounge by VDR
& HSMA. A must
for all players in
the business travel sector. Be part of it and attend the ITB Business
Travel Days from 11-15 March, 2009.

"The ITB Business Travel Days offer a clear perspective in all
areas
of business travel, in a way based on the Carl Zeiss AG slogan: We make
it visible. I will be part again in 2007!"
Andreas Konkel, Corporate Mobility Manager, Carl Zeiss AG,
Oberkochen

"Enlarging ITB Berlin to include the business travel sector
was a
very good idea. Here you can receive information on innovations, foster
contacts and attend highly interesting presentations. You are given the
opportunity to stay up-to-date and learn about ways to improve your own
travel management."
Susanne Frevert, Fleet and Travel Management, Sasol Germany
GmbH, Hamburg
