Winners wanted: The CLOUD AWARD 2011
In cooperation with MMS (T-Systems Multimedia Solutions), this year the IT-Profits 7.0 will award a prize for the most popular Cloud-Solution. The main focus will be directed at web-based applications, which are available as a service – in short SaaS. The competition is carried out nationwide, anyone can participate as well as vote. The CLOUD AWARD 2011 is the first nationwide public choice award for Cloud-Applications.
According to the unanimous estimation of leading research companies „The Cloud“ remains to be catchphrase of the year 2011. The various choices in Cloud-Solutions such as Software as a Service (SaaS) are growing rapidly, however at the cost of which the user loses himself in an increasing market. At this the CLOUD AWARD 2011 creates orientation and transparency.
- The application, participation and public voting for the CLOUD AWARD 2011 will exclusively be handled by www.thecloudmatrix.org. Deadline for entries is on 28 April 2011.
The participants of The CLOUD AWARD 2011 are obliged to enter their SaaS-Solution at www.thecloudmatrix.org via seven criteria: Security, contract period, cost per license, support, usability, sharing and range of functions offline. Every internet user can take part in and comment on the voting as well as use the Social Media Tools.
The five most popular SaaS-Providers will be presented in keynote speeches and will be awarded the CLOUD AWARD 2011 at the evening event „IT-Personalities 2011“. The prize is awarded by the IT-Profits 7.0 and MMS in Berlin.

The website TheCloudMatrix.org (www.thecloudmatrix.org) is a solution provided by T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH. The aim is to create transparency and the assessment of Cloud-Providers in various business relevant categories. The assessment is conducted with the help of 24 selected criteria which are applicable in the categories Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). The result is a constantly updated Cloud-Matrix that creates transparency and orientation in the growing market for Cloud-Solutions.
