6,000 visitors at the world’s largest tourism convention

The ITB Convention Market Trends & Innovations, which was organised from the Messe Berlin in cooperation with the University of Applied Science in Worms for the first time last year, was, this year, able to almost double the number of visitors from 3,500 to 6,000. It provided insight into the current trends and innovative business models with 56 events and 176 speakers. The highlights included the first ever ITB Aviation Day, the "Future & Innovation Forum", the Practical Workshop China and the Experts’ Forum India. Prof Dr Roland Conrady, scientific manager of the convention stated: "Over 6,000 interested participants prove that the ITB Convention was able to expand its role as the leading Think Tank for the global tourism industry. The ITB Convention has developed into an attractive basis for the information exchange on relevant tourism topics."
