Trends & Events

Trends & Events

Trends & Events is the umbrella name for the Youth Travel, Experience Adventure, and ECOtourism segments. These industry segments are very content oriented and basically fall into the supervised tours category.
These industry segments are all innovative, product-driven market areas that have a good deal in common.
Trends & Events will offer a platform for identifying and presenting the latest trends and innovations within the industry. It will also provide an opportunity to better integrate trends from outside the industry and use them to create new products.
Beside the Stage and Event range each Segment will have their own individual exhibition area.

An additional event will be YIG: Youth Incoming Germany. From March 08-09th 2006, YIG will feature a closed area within the Youth Travel Centre for trade visitors and German incoming organizers of children and youth travel. This will be a special incoming Germany workshop organized by ITB to meet the rising demands of international trade visitors. The goal is to establish the event as a key incoming platform for youth travel at ITB. With support of FIYTO we want to attract international trade visitors to this workshop.

Backed by a stronger presence of companies specialising in ocean and river cruises, the market segment presented innovative product concepts and current trends in all-inclusive packages at ITB 2006.  This makes ITB 2007 an ideal business platform for the cruise market.
