“It is very important for us to support Build IT and the Berlin location for the construction sector and its related IT solutions. We aim to commit ourselves in this field on a long-term basis and are not just looking for quick money. This will remain our strategy for the Build IT fair in the future. And this is why we have committed ourselves to three fairs in Germany which present exactly this combination of construction and IT solutions. These three fairs regionally cover the south, west and northeast. All in all, we are very satisfied with how Build IT 2006 went. The quality of contacts improved considerably. Our company’s positioning and presentation was also very well received by the visitors." Hans-Jürgen Kämmer, Authorised Representative and Head of Marketing/Communication of RIB SOFTWARE AG.
“This year’s Build IT 2006 was better for us than two years ago. From the association’s point of view we had productive talks with companies interested in becoming members. We met with clearly increased interest. We also had many conversations with journalists who were looking for information and new trends. This kind of public relations is important for us and benefits our member firms.” Manfred Nagel, Director of BVBS Bundesverband Bausoftware e.V.
“It is important for us to have a trade fair in Berlin because we have many customers here whom we invite, of course, and who then come and visit us at Build IT. Our visitors are especially from nearer and farther regions, i.e. from Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pommerania, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Saxony. However, we also had visitors on the first two days from Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. We were very surprised that we even had visitors from Russia, Estonia and Iran at our stand. We are very happy about the visitors from the neighbouring Eastern European countries.” Wolfgang Reinecke, Director of Graphisoft Deutschland GmbH
"We are a faithful exhibitor since we find it essential to have a stand here in Berlin. Sales generated in the follow-up period are encouraging and persuade us to display here again and again. This year, we could even seal concrete deals at out fair stand which has nowadays become unusual at this kind of trade exhibitions. In 2006, the number of visitors really outnumbered our expectations. The quality of the trade talks has increased significantly. We firmly believe in taking part in such a link of two fairs with the combination of construction and IT technology and which takes place in the German capital.” Peter Remitz, Director and Head of Development of untermStrich software GmbH
“Architecture and technology are intrinsically tied to one another — not only in the implementation of the draft but even as early as in the planning phase of the project processing. This year, Build IT Berlin has especially emphasised the necessary professionalisation of the architectural profession by presenting state-of-the-art networking solutions. The explanations about the “Building Information Model” met with huge interest. With this model, it is no longer necessary to mail sketches and plans electronically to the various parties involved, but it provides access to a joint 3-D-data base and thus contributes to a joint processing of complex projects without any interface problems, data losses or security problems with regard to the sender. Such an approach is indispensable especially for planning jobs involving all stakeholders right from the start, e.g. for projects within public-private partnerships. The Architects’ Afternoon organised by the Federal Architects’ Chamber offered important information on this issue, too, as well as on the imminent introduction of the Energy Certificate. Numerous architects, engineers and builders participated in the discussion programme organised by the Federal Architects’ Chamber which was especially tailored to planners, emphasising the important platform function provided by Build IT Berlin for the exchange of expert views.” Dr. Tillman Prinz, Director of Bundesarchitektenkammer e.V.
“We are very pleased with Build IT Berlin 2006 since many new customer potentials have opened up for us and our partners. We are delighted about the positive development compared to the last Build IT which has confirmed us in our assessment that this fair has developed into a firm component in the external presentation of the sector. We consider the merger with bautec as very positive as it brings about many synergy effects. One example is the numerous craftspeople who were interested in our products. We will definitely attend the next Build IT since it is a firm highlight in our marketing planning.” Thomas Prinzen, Sales Manager for G/A/CH of Graphisoft Deutschland GmbH
“We have been invited as an exhibitor and were admitted to participate here under the prerequisite of making a technical contribution to Build IT 2006. We co-arranged the programme of the Exhibitors’ Forum and also initiated the Internet Café. We have come to the conclusion that the fair is becoming a success especially for those exhibitors and moderators who promote their stand and company presentation themselves. If they do so, they will meet in most cases with positive feedback. For this purpose, the trade fair project management provides a good portfolio in order to implement these necessary additional communication measures. Here at our stand, Thursday and Friday were the best days on which we made quality contacts.” Michael Stamm, Project Manager of eCOMM Berlin within TSB Technologiestiftung und Innovationsagentur Berlin GmbH
“Build IT 2006 is obviously better integrated into the twin-fair concept as it is integrated into the round tour of both events. What is more, the two halls are much better suited as they enjoy natural light. We also welcome the very good structure of this trade fair. We furthermore see a growing readiness on the part of the potential customers to make investments — despite the decision-making processes still being difficult. It is also remarkable how the fair has established itself with its name and its location. Build IT Berlin is known all over Germany. As exhibitors, we registered a greater success in 2006 than two years ago. For a Berlin fair, I am quite satisfied with the outcome at this location. I am absolutely convinced that we will be here again as exhibitors in 2008.“ Martin Schuff, Managing Director of SOFTTECH Software Technologie GmbH
“To us, Build IT is one of the three most important fairs of the year. The combination of construction fair and IT focus is an incentive for us to be present as exhibitors.” Michael Westfahl, Chairman of the Board for Sales and Marketing of Nemetschek AG |
