Build IT Berlin – IT and Communication Trade Fair for the Construction Sector will be staged again in 2008 based on its well-established concept. The focus is on software, hardware, services and much more for the entire building industry, from project planning and execution, to facility management, building demolition and recycling.

To give visitors an overview of the entire industry, Build IT Berlin will be held once again in conjunction with bautec – International Trade Fair for Building and Construction Technology Berlin, and Solar Energy  – World Trade Fair for Renewable Energies.

Build IT Berlin has become a key industry event at the beginning of the year and serves as an important platform for presenting the latest products and construction software trends in the IT segment. For many suppliers, it is a permanently integrated into their trade show activities

More than 75 percent of Build IT trade visitors are directly involved in purchasing decisions within their companies. 34 percent of these industry specialists, not only those from Berlin, report that Build IT is the only IT trade show they attend. The percentage of planners (35%) and people from the construction and property development industries (26%) at Build IT show that the trade show is reaching its target groups.

The location of Build IT at centre stage on the exhibition grounds (Halls 8.2. and 10.2) adds to the special trade show atmosphere. The diagonal layout of the exhibition area with the Exhibitor Forum and BauPlaza serving as a central meeting place for exhibitors, trade visitors, and journalists has been well received and will remain as a standard feature of Build IT Berlin.

Along with the presentation of products, the transfer of knowledge plays an important role. The professional support programme is thus a key aspect of Build IT Berlin. It takes place in nearby Hall 7 where organizers will find modern conference facilities, ideal for congresses, business symposiums, workshops, seminars, etc. This ensures a close link between the trade show and the professional support program.  

Build IT Berlin serves as a platform for conventions, conferences, and seminars conducted by industry associations, government ministries and institutions along with an increasing number of exhibiting companies.

Since 2002, the German Federal Ministry for Economics and Labor in cooperation with industry associations has organized the "Built On IT — Construction Jobs with a Future" competition to support upcoming young talent in the construction industry. Another established feature of the professional program is the Exhibitor Forum located at the heart of the trade show activities. This forum offers a series of lectures, workshops, panel discussions, product presentations, video conferences, and other special features.

Software, Internet (e.g. construction portals, e-commerce, invitation to tender platforms), intranet, hardware and peripherals, facility management, mobile computing, IT security, services, specialist literature for the entire construction industry as well as information and advice from associations, government ministries, and institutions.
