The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) is located in Hong Kong's business center, Wan Chai District. The venue has excellent transport connections to all parts of the city.

From the airport: The quickest and most efficient way to get downtown Hong Kong is the Airport Express. The train runs every 10 minutes and take around 30 minutes to reach Hong Kong's Central. A ticket to Central cost around HK$ 100.

If you prefer to take a taxi, you need to get the red taxi, when going from the airport to urban areas. It will take about 40 minutes to reach Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The approximate fare is HK$380.

From the city center
By MTR Subway: Island Line to Wan Chai MTR subway station
By ferry: The Star Ferry operates 2 routes across the Victoria Harbour to the HKCEC. You can enter the ferry in district Tsim Sha Tsui at the Cultural Center or at the Whampoa Garden in Hung Hom. The fare is HK$ 2.2.
By bus: HKCEC is served by bus routes number 960, 961, 40, 40M, 8 or 2A
By taxi: to the HKCEC Harbour Road Entrance

What to do after business in Hong Kong?

Hong Kong is a vibrant and dynamic city. It offers lots to choose from for activities once the business day is over. Whether you prefer to sight-see, shop, visit museums or just go out for a night on the town, Hong Kong offers something for all.

Victoria Peak, just above the business district in Central, offers a breathtaking view of the skyline of Hong Kong island and the harbour.  

If you’d prefer to stay indoors, the impressive collection of malls, with an incredible selection of international retail stores could keep anyone busy shopping till they drop. 

To eat in Hong Kong means to make a decision between hundreds of different delicious international foods, and creative fusions. Restaurants offer anything from Thai to Italian, from Indian to Mexican, and the diversity of flavors and choices makes every meal an adventure. If you like exploring Chinese traditional cuisine, Hong Kong offers you a wide variety of culinary specialities from all Chinese provinces.  

Hong Kong is of course also famous for its vibrant nightlife. From Lan Kwai Fong to Wan Chai, the bars and clubs provide fabulous fun until the wee hours of the morning. 

What about the rest of China?
With Macau and Shenzhen just a short ferry or train ride away, there are plenty of interesting nearby tourist destinations. Shenzhen with its famous spas, and Macau with its luxurious casinos and Mediterranean feel are popular with Hong Kong locals.

Visitors to Hong Kong must hold a passport that is valid for at least six months after the planned departure date from Hong Kong. Nationals of most countries are not required to obtain visas and can stay for periods varying from seven days to 180 days, depending on nationality. Check with any Chinese embassy or consulate for the latest status.
