The Exhibition Grounds operated by Messe Berlin are easy to reach thanks to excellent road and rail links. The city itself also has an extensive and clearly laid out public transport network.

Arrival by car

How to find us?
It's easy!

Autobahns radiate from the German capital like a star, and most of these motorways can now carry six lanes of fast moving traffic.

Once you are on the A10 (Berliner Ring), look for the signs to "Messegelände" at the "Nuthetal", "Oranienburg", "Schönefelder Kreuz" and "Pankow" junctions. These will lead you directly to the A100, A111 and A115 (Avus) motorway and the "Funkturm" junction, where you turn off at the "Messegelände" exit.

5,000 parking spaces are situated in the direct vicinity of the exhibition ground. For major events, we recommend that visitors coming by car follow radio announcements and use the 5,000 extra parking spaces available at the Olympic Stadium, where a free shuttle bus will take them to the exhibition ground and back again.

Environmental Zone

An Environmental Zone will come into force in Berlin on 1 January 2008.

The Environmental Zone is the area within the so-called S-Bahn ring, the light railway line encircling central Berlin. Vehicles may only enter this area if they display a valid sticker showing that their emissions do not exceed a specified level of fine particulates. Signs have been erected on the roads clearly showing where the Environmental Zone begins. Although the southern section of the city expressway, the Stadtautobahn, is within the S-Bahn ring, it is not classified as part of the Environmental Zone because it is also used to enable vehicles to drive around the restricted area.

It is an offence to drive a vehicle inside the Evironmental Zone without the appropriate sticker, and this is punishable by a fine. Offenders may also be awarded one penalty point on their driving licences.

The Exhibition Grounds and ICC are located outside the Environmental Zone. Visitors arriving by car via the motorway system and entering the Exhibition Grounds directly via the interchange marked "Messegelände/Messedamm" are outside the zone and do not therefore require a sticker.

Additional details can be found here.
