Live-Broadcast of the Opening Press Conference of ITB Berlin 2010

Media Centre

During and after ITB Berlin and the ITB Berlin Convention numerous items of important information are available to media representatives in the modern media centre in Halls 5.3 and 6.3. They include press releases, printable photos and logos, radio and TV reports, as well as publications by the ITB Berlin.

The ITB Berlin is an international media event. In 2010 more than 7,200 journalists attended the world's largest trade show for the travel industry, of whom 1,700 came from abroad. In addition to the industry's leading trade magazines, business and travel journalists from 90 countries report on the latest travel trends and products.

The offices of all the international news agencies are located in hall 6.3, where ITB Berlin provides journalists with state-of-the-art workplaces and a wide range of information services.

Accreditation

Accreditation for ITB Berlin 2011 and its' convention is onsite possible from November 2010 on.

Accreditation guidelines of Messe Berlin

From 2009 onwards the following will apply:

In the course of providing accreditation for journalists Messe Berlin shall be entitled to demand evidence of journalistic activities.

The presentation of a press pass can serve to indicate that journalism is the holder's main professional activity.

In each case Messe Berlin reserves the right to demand to see examples of actual, current published items.

A simple way of obtaining accreditation is through the automatic submission or presentation of supporting documentation relating to trade fairs. This is particularly applicable to freelance journalists. Confirmation provided by an editorial department will only be accepted in exceptional cases.

The submission of articles with no relevance to a trade fair may lead to the refusal to grant accreditation, and should therefore be accompanied by an adequate explanation of their relevance.

Messe Berlin reserves the right to refuse to grant accreditation, without stating any reasons.

Head of the Press and Public Relations Department
