Advertising Box

What is the Advertising Box?

The Advertising Box is an advertising package for Exhibitors that includes entries in the printed catalogue and in the Virtual Market Place. The package costs EUR 580 for main exhibitors without co-exhibitors, and EUR 700 for main exhibitors with co-exhibitors.

Catalogue

How do I obtain a catalogue for the trade show?

During the trade show, the catalogue will be available from the box offices and information counters. After the event, the catalogue will be available from our publisher: itb-catalogue@travel-one.net

I have received an offer for a fee-based listing to be published in alternative medias. It is offically sanctioned by Messe Berlin?

We would like to inform you that we are not associated with these offers. Messe Berlin is not affiliated with these publishers in any way. All exhibitors are listed on the Virtual Market Place. This information is updated regularly.

How can I find out in which hall is located a specific country?

Hostesses/Stand staff

Do the staff working at our stand need badges?

The stand staff should also be issued exhibitor badges. The exhibitor badge is a permanent ID and allows entry to the ITB before the trade show starts. This is not the case with trade visitor badges and day tickets.

I need additional display stand staff. Who can help me with this?

How can I get in touch with other trade visitors?

All staff members of your company addressable at the ITB Berlin, may sign up at no charges for the ITB Networking tool.
ITB Networking enables trade visitors as well as the press to contact your colleagues and schedule appointments before the upcoming fair.

Room of silence and prayer room

Where do I find the possibility to elude from the trade show turbulences and pray respectively?
The room of silence is an offer of the Protestant Church in Berlin in cooperation with the Messe Berlin GmbH and it is situated in the entrance area of hall 6.2 at the Summer Garden. All visitors and Messe Berlin employees are invited to visit the room of silence irrespective to their confession. As well for Muslims, there is the possibility to pray.  During ITB Berlin, there will take place a daily oecomenic  prayer at 12:15 p.m..
Furthermore there is a prayer room in the foyer west of hall 19, for Muslim exhibitors and visitors.

Stand Construction

I have rented a stand. What else do I need to order?

The key services in relation to your trade show participation include: waste disposal, electrical installation, telecommunication, hotel and room booking, etc. The complete list will be available in October.

Construction Height

(please refer to Technical Guidelines 4.3 (PDF, 1.5 MB))

  • The maximum permitted height of any structure, including the upper edge of suspensions and fascias, for stand areas up to 50 sq. m. is + 5.00 m, and + 6.00 m for stand areas 50 sq. m. to 200 sq. m. in all halls (see below for exceptions). Approval may be given for higher structures in individual cases, for exhibitors renting an entire hall or in the case of rental areas bigger than 200 sq. m.
  • Exceptions: For exhibitors in halls 8.1, 10.1 und 11.1, there is a binding height restriction of 3.60 m for all structures. A height restriction of 4.00 m also applies in areas of halls 14.1 and 15.1. In halls 1.1, 2.1, 3.1 and 4.1 the construction height is restricted to 5,50 m, in some cases even to 5,00 m.
  • Any part of a stand above +2.50 m, directly bordering an adjacent stand, must have a neutral, smooth white finish, without any advertising.
  • We kindly ask you to meet the deadline for submission of building plans: December, 15th 2007. All plans and details (static) of those constructions subject to mandatory inspections, such as two-storey structures or platforms, must be turned in by that date. If an exhibitor does not meet this deadline the stand construction and final acceptance of construction work, can not be guaranteed.

Ticketing

How can I register?

Registration is linked to the purchase of a trade visitor badge. You can do this easily online at the ITB website at any time before and during the ITB. You can also register by mail, fax or e-mail with MB Capital Services prior to the ITB. During the ITB, a trade visitor voucher can be obtained from any ticket office and exchanged for a personal trade visitor badge at the trade visitor registration desk in the ICC or at the main entrance south [Haupteingang Süd].

Who is classified as a trade visitor, and what identification do trade visitors need?

No special documents are required to purchase a trade visitor badge. Trade visitor badges valid for the duration of the ITB event are personalized and non-transferable.

Where and when can I pick up my badge?

Trade visitor badges can be picked up at the pre-registration counter in the ICC (red side) up to two days before the start of the trade show.

I would like to have my trade visitor badge sent to me. What do I have to do?

Please request your badge online. This will save you unnecessary waiting time and handling charges, and will also allow you to visit the trade show immediately. Virtual Market Place

What means Virtual Market Place?

The Virtual Market Place provides exhibitors with a virtual platform where they can present their companies and products before, during, and after the trade show. Starting by January, it presents all exhibitors of the upcoming ITB.

Visas

I need a visa. What do I have to do?

Please consult the German Embassy in your country. You will also be able to obtain assistance from Messe Berlin foreign representatives. A list of contacts can be found here.

WLAN and Hotspots

I want to have a wireless internet access, where it is possible?

Exhibitors and trade show visitors can now access the Internet, surf the Web and send emails via Wireless LAN in specially marked areas throughout the exhibition grounds. Please see the map of WiFi hotspots for visitors and the map of WiFi hotspots for exhibitors for further information.

Smoking Ban

Due to legal restrictions,  a strict smoking ban on the whole fairground (incl. ICC) is in force since 1  January, 2008. We kindly ask you to smoke only within the specific assigned areas. We advise you as an exhibitor of ITB Berlin to inform your contractual partners about the non-smoker protection law.
