A topic that was picked up by some trade fair partners at the first Build IT Berlin in 2001 was how to use the new talent that has been attracted as the construction sector moves towards being a new high-tech industry. In 2002, the competition "Build on IT - AEC jobs with Future" was sponsored for the first time in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology, Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie e.V. (German Construction Sector Federation), Zentralverband Deutsches Baugewerbe ZDB Central Organization of German Skilled Construction Crafts, Bundesingenieurkammer German Chamber of Engineers, RKW Rationalisierungs- und Innovationszentrum der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V. and Build IT Berlin. On 16 February 2010, there will not only be the awards show, but students and trainees will be in the limelight for the whole of the first trade fair day: a low-cost trade fair ticket, a job market for placement, training and job offers, where you can get in touch with the contact partners at the stands and have your profile and applications entered into the Online Job Market of the Build IT Berlin Virtual Market Place®. In 2002, the competition "Built on IT - AEC jobs with Future" was sponsored for the first time in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology, German Construction Industry Federation, German Construction Industry Association, German Chamber of Engineers, RKW German Industry Rationalization and Innovation Centre and Build IT Berlin.
Universities, colleges, industrial training centres etc. will present themselves not just on the first trade fair day, but during the entire event at the Build IT InfoFillingStation for training offers. The building material manufacturers will present themselves at the second Build IT InfoFillingStation, however, not with their building materials, but with their free software and the related service offers which are not so well-known even amongst building professionals, but which will provide valuable information and show different applications in connection with the respective building material.
